Geovanny Marble is a non-foliated metamorphic rock composed of recrystallized carbonate minerals, most commonly calcite or dolomite. Marble was once limestone, but over time, the combination of intense heat and pressure caused the limestone to re-crystallize. Foreign substances often enter the stone during this process, creating an infinite variety of colors, textures and veining.
However, granite is a common type of felsic intrusive igneous rock which is granular and phaneritic in texture. Granites can be predominantly white, pink, or gray in color, depending on their mineralogy. By definition, granite is an igneous rock with at least 20% quartz and up to 65% alkali feldspar by volume.
